Ugly Ugly Ugly.

Oklahoma State just posted nine runs in the first. 

This is rough. 

I don’t know what OK State Head Coach Rich Weiligman told his team between games, but I think I need his speech recorded as the greatest motivational influence of all-time.

Can’t keep the momentum?

It’s the top of the first for the second game now, and the Cowgirls already have five runs! 

What happened in that thirty minute break?! Kliesing just gave up a 3-run homer to freshman Cowgirl Julie Ward. I mean, that ball got out of here in a hurry. 

Here comes a pitching change. Yeah, it’s freshman Rebecca Arbino in for Kliesing. That’s an ERA killer. 

The Aggies will need some mean offense to get back in this one.

Defense holds, A&M takes game 1

Kliesing assaulted the outside corners in the top of the seventh to seal the game for the Aggies. 

Kliesing finishes with 7 IP, 4 strikeouts, and 2 walks, while allowing 5 hits and one run. 

The Aggies finished with 2 runs on four hits. Alex Reynolds finished 1-1 at the plate with 2 walks. 

Game 2 of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin 30 minutes from now.

Quiet OK State line up

Kliesing has held the Cowgirls bats to just 5 hits after 6 innings, giving up just one hit in each of the last three innings. 

Glasco, who’s bat is hotter than the surface of the sun, leads off this inning for A&M.

Spittler comes through.

Kelsey Spittler knocked a 2-run single up the middle with one out to give A&M its first lead of the game. 

The single scored pinch runner Andrea Tovar from third and third baseman Alex Reynolds from second. 

Good stuff, says I!

If the  defense keeps up the level they’re playing right now, I’m thinking the Aggies could have this one in the bag.

Offense please.

As we progress into the bottom of the fourth, we are in need of difference-making caliber offense. 

Erin Glasco just got her 17th hit-by-pitch on the first pitch of the inning. 

Let’s get some runs up there.

Rhi Kliesing just downed the top three batters in the Cowgirl line up. 

Ground out, line out, fly out, and we’re moving to the bottom of the third. 

Now, let’s get some offense!

Softball takes on Oklahoma State

Decent show up in the stands for the mid-week doubleheader against the Cowgirls today.
OK State scored a quick run in the top of the first. Sophomore third baseman Gearhart had an impressive infield hit, followed by some fiesty base running for the score.
Villarreal led off the Aggies first with a single to left center, but A&M continues to sport its plague of leaving on leadoff runners. We move to the second.
